An online Universities website understands the time constraints faced by many students and strives to make your life easier by offering information about online degree programs, and ways to study online. You can you be at home, the office, or an Internet café, basically anywhere you can find an internet connection. Distance learning makes it easy to earn an online degree at DeVry University while living your life. Please continue reading to learn more about the information contained within the website.

The home page for DeVry University is quite compact, and not lengthy with almost all the links being visible as you open the page, rather than having to scroll down to view everything. We will give you a brief description of what we found starting at the top of the home page and working our way down. The main background of the website is an image that rotates four times, about once every 10 seconds, and most links are in blue text with some in white and red. The DeVry University logo in the top left hand corner is the homepage link that you can click on from any page throughout the website.

The main navigation links on the website run down the left hand side, with 6 other additional useful links running across the top of the page. The main menu links do not contain sub navigation links when you click them, instead they go directly to detailed information on the main areas of education you can receive from the DeVry University.

The two main flagship links at the top middle of the homepage link you to a page where you can request more information by providing basic personal details and some background information on your educational background. It also tells you when the first day of class is. The other link allows you to “apply online”. In the top left corner is a search field which when you type in certain relevant keywords it does bring up several results, but we found that not a lot of the results are completely accurate in relation to the keywords used.

Underneath the main menu navigation links down the left hand side you can type in your questions and chat live to someone on the website or call a toll free phone number for more information. The live chat is operated by “Live Person” and in our opinion is a good feature to have on the website if you are looking to get your questions answered right away. The agents on the live chat are responsive, knowledgeable and willing to help you out with anything they can. Underneath the live chat section is a field to enter a zip code if you are looking to find a physical location, of which there are over 90. In this same section they also have a virtual advisor which is very helpful in obtaining more specific information since it asks you a series of questions and gives you feedback and advice based on your answers.

At the bottom of the home page are six graphical banner style links that when you hover over bring up a bunch more useful links and pages about specific programs you can enroll in. DeVry is a large University with an extensive amount of programs to choose from, and their website definitely provides you with a plethora of information to help you make a decision on your educational future.
